POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
The Northern California Area Sales Manager (ASM) position is responsible for managing all customers within this territory within the retail and commercial channels. Area sales management responsibilities include managing customer relationships, driving the sales pipeline, and actively pursuing market growth opportunity. The ASM would also be responsible for developing and expanding sales opportunities within the assigned territory, including planning, forecasting, and executing on all sales activities.
ITEMIZED DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Responsible for achieving quarterly and annual sales quotas and accurate forecasting for the territory and account base
Develop account plans and long-term sales pipeline to increase company’s market share
Works closely with the customer in order to maintain a continuous knowledge of customer needs in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities.
Builds strong professional relationships with key account managers and business executives.
Actively manage accounts through coordination of account forecasts, planning, and reporting.
Builds business plan in conjunction with the customer
Responsible for coordination of sales initiatives with regional sales team, including director, ASMs, inside sales and sales support associates.
Provide sales/product training to existing and prospective customers on Growlink platform, supported network technologies, and network best practices
Field based, remote workforce position with travel capabilities (50-60%) within a specific geographic region.
Maintains high-level of customer loyalty and builds trust and integrity
NEEDED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
5+ years proven track record of technical sales performance
Experience with a variety of agriculture control and automation, and security systems a plus
Experience in agriculture electronics, custom integration, or similar industry
Experience in training and presenting control and automation solutions
Familiarity with commercial greenhouse and indoor grow operations
High energetic personality who enjoys working in a growing team atmosphere
